Greetings from Mint Hill, North Carolina!
The kids are back in school, and routine is once again the norm in the Beldner household. My oldest daughter turned 16 during the first week of school. Her excitement was high, but I’m not sure it compared to mine—we now have another driver in a family of seven!
From a business perspective, as we head toward Q4, we wanted to share a few friendly reminders:
- Review your year-end savings goals.
Now is a great time to make sure you’re on track with your retirement plans, IRAs, HSAs, backdoor Roth strategies, 529 plans, and other savings goals for 2026. Please reach out to your advisor if you’d like us to review anything with you. - Schwab alternative investment fees are coming up.
If you hold private equity or other alternative investments inside your Charles Schwab accounts, you may see Schwab’s annual maintenance fee for those investments assessed soon. - Mint Hill Tax is coming!
As you may have heard by now, we are excited to be adding tax services to the Mint Hill family. Our clients have, quite literally, been asking us for this for years, and we’re excited to deliver. Please reach out to your advisor if you have questions or would like to learn more.
Lastly, we’ve included a few articles that caught my eye on longevity, procrastination, and how to plan wisely for taxes in retirement.
Enjoy the read, and as always, thank you for allowing Mint Hill to serve you and your family. We steward a great trust and seek to be found faithful.
Tim Beldner
