Our story

Why we started Mint Hill

We started Mint Hill for the independence to do this work the right way. Free of corporate
quotas and house products, we built the firm around two simple goals.

Take the weight of financial decisions off our clients’ plates.

Help our clients proactively build it, not just protect it.

Everything else follows from that. We’re an independent, boutique firm built specifically for physicians and dentists — structured so that wherever you are, you work directly with the people who manage your plan, not a call center or a rotating cast of associates. Think of us as your family’s CFO, looking after the whole financial picture — from managing debt and protecting your income early on to growing investments, lowering taxes, and planning the retirement you actually want.

 

What ties it together is a simple commitment: a high standard of care in every client relationship, across both the advisory and brokerage services we provide. When we act as your advisor, we act as a fiduciary — legally obligated to put your interests first. When we work with you in a brokerage capacity, we’re held to Regulation Best Interest, which requires our recommendations to be in your best interest. Either way, our aim is the same: objective guidance, transparent communication, and advice tailored to your circumstances — the kind we’d give our own families.
