Greetings from Mint Hill, NC!
I trust you had an enjoyable holiday season. One of my favorite things to do when the calendar turns is reflect on the previous year. What went well? What didn’t go well? What needs to change in the future, both in my personal and professional life? I hope you had time to reflect as well. If not, I encourage you to make it a priority while the new year is still young!
One habit my family and I started 10–15 years ago, on the advice of a mentor, is to write a “family business plan” at the beginning of each year. We cover goals such as: What charities should we give to? How much do we want to save for the kids’ future? Are there places we want to travel this year? Do we need to update our estate plan? If your family hasn’t done something like this before, I encourage you to try it for 2025. Write your goals down—the odds of completing set goals are significantly higher when they are written down. I also encourage you to share your financial goals with your advisor team.
With that said, Mint Hill has a few exciting resources coming out in the first quarter of 2025 that we think will be of interest and value to you. Keep an eye out for those announcements in the near future.
Lastly, I’ve included a few articles that caught my attention that I think you’ll find interesting. Enjoy the read, and, as always, do not hesitate to reach out to your advisor team with any questions. We are here to serve you!
Happy New Year!
Sincerely,
Tim Beldner
