Mint Hill Monthly – December 2025

Greetings from Omaha, NE,

As we head into the final stretch of the year, many of you are juggling full clinic schedules, family activities, and holiday plans—all while trying to make thoughtful decisions about savings, taxes, and the future. We’re grateful to be in your corner during a season that’s both busy and meaningful.

Coming soon: more interactive planning in your review meetings

As part of our ongoing effort to make your planning conversations as useful as possible, in late December we’ll be rolling out an upgrade to the financial planning software we use in our meetings with you. The goal is simple: to make our time together feel even more like live planning sessions and to support deeper, more complex planning when your situation calls for it. A few highlights:

  • More dynamic “what-if” planning. We’ll be able to adjust your plan live—changing retirement ages, savings, spending, and “what-if” scenarios on the spot—so you can see the impact instantly.

  • Stronger tax-smart planning. The new tools give us better ways to map out multi-year tax strategies, like Roth conversions and which accounts to draw from first, so we can focus not just on how much you have, but how much you keep after taxes.

  • Clearer visuals and easier-to-follow discussions. You’ll see more intuitive charts and summaries in our meetings, making it easier to understand where you are today, where you’re headed, and what steps we’re recommending.

To support this change, we’ll also be transitioning to a new client portal between the end of December and early January. You can expect to receive an email from us with further details and login instructions as we get closer to the transition timeframe. As always, our team will be available to answer any questions and assist with accessing the new client portal, if needed.

Below, you’ll find a brief list of articles we’ve been reading lately—touching on markets, money, medicine, and everyday life. We hope you enjoy them, and if anything sparks a question or a next step for your family, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Warm regards,

Matt Lessman
