Mint Hill Wealth Management is pleased to introduce the newest addition to our team, Sarah Werner!
As a full-service wealth management firm, we always strive to simplify the complexity of our clients’ financial lives through exceptional service and focused, personal attention. As such, we have added Sarah to our team and believe she will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow and provide comprehensive services to our clients!
Here is a little bit about Sarah and what you can expect from the newest member of the Mint Hill team.
Meet Sarah
Sarah is Mint Hill’s new Client Services Manager. Her main focus is to provide clients with the best possible service and experience when it comes to making effective choices about their finances. She will be working closely with both clients and financial advisors to facilitate strong communication and address client inquiries. This includes coordinating advisory meetings, scheduling, meeting prep, and processing account paperwork.
Education & Experience
Sarah has always had a personal interest in finance but didn’t realize how much she enjoyed helping others manage their money and grow their wealth until she was asked to serve as Director of Financial Literacy for Kansas State University. During her time in this role, Sarah witnessed many students dropping out of school, not necessarily because they couldn’t afford it, but because they grossly mismanaged their finances. It was through this experience that she became motivated to dedicate the rest of her career to assisting others in making better financial decisions and maximizing the value of their hard-earned money.
After nearly a decade of experience working in higher education, Sarah was drawn to Mint Hill because she saw that our team is committed to working and living in alignment with our core values. She strongly believes that work should be meaningful and serve a purpose in one’s life, rather than just be a source of income, and she was impressed by our team’s willingness to always do the right thing by putting clients and employees first.
Sarah is passionate about her new role because she’s seen so many people lose money or fall short of their goals due to a lack of sound financial practices. She hopes to relieve some of the anxiety and stress clients have about managing money, helping them find confidence in their financial goals and achieve financial independence.
Sarah has a bachelor’s degree in public service and leadership from Dakota Wesleyan University, and a master’s degree in counseling and human development from South Dakota State University. She is currently working toward earning her designation as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
On a Personal Note
Sarah has many interests outside of work, including spending time with her family, traveling (especially to the beach!), reading, and real estate.
Sarah’s love for travel was born from a five-week road trip across the United States when she was just 12 years old. Her family visited every state west of the Mississippi (except Alaska and Hawaii) and camped out or stayed at friends’ homes the entire way. They made sure to see as many national landmarks as possible, and now Sarah is passionate about traveling to new places and meeting new people.
Sarah makes a point to travel to the beach every year where her family owns and maintains a beach house off the coast of North Carolina. In her free time, Sarah is also very interested in remodeling, renting, and investing in real estate.
As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, neighbor, and friend, Sarah understands the importance of being able to achieve one’s dreams, while preserving the important things we all work so hard for. She was a former place-kicker for her high school varsity football team, which taught her a lot about overcoming adversity. The experience was one of the most important events in her life and shaped her into the person she is today.
Sarah’s go-to karaoke song is Miranda Lambert’s cover of “Fooled Around & Fell in Love” by Elvin Bishop, which she loves to sing at the top of her lungs for her two kids, who think she is the best singer! You can often find Sarah listening to an audiobook on her monthly subscription to Audible. As a firm believer in lifelong learning, she thinks Audible is the best thing she’s purchased for under $100!
